The primary biblical purpose for Journey Groups is fellowship. Our greatest desire for J-Groups is that it's a place where believing students can connect with one another and form a relationship with a significant adult. We do J-Groups to make our large group smaller. We want students to create and maintain meaningful relationships.
The secondary biblical purpose forJ-Groups is discipleship. Every week we will study and discuss biblical passages. A portion of the J-Group time will be devoted to the application of biblical truths to our lives. A J-Group is not a classroom (all work), nor is it a party (all play). A J-Group is a place for students to form relationships--with others, and with God--so that they can grow in their faith.
